Fantastic Fungi

A few years ago I became intrigued by fungi. 
As a child I had the fear of mushrooms drummed into me by an overly cautious mother who feared I would start gobbling down every bit of fungi I could reach. As a result by the time I reached adulthood I was somewhat nervous of them, and believed a lot of the old scaremongering parents do to protect their children. However when searching for photographic inspiration I soon learned that none of them are about to leap out of the decaying forest floor and force themselves down your throat, so with a bit of care and sensible precautions fungi are friends. Here are my favourite finds.
