Petal Pathways

Photograph is a close-up of a vibrant purple iris flower. The flowers surface is not uniform, but exhibits intricate patterns of white and a light brownish-yellow, almost gold, with veining and striations that lead us into the heart of the bloom.
The colouration appears to blend seamlessly, with the veins running along the petal’s curve. A portion of another petal and the stem of the flower are visible in the background, in a soft purple tone, but less vibrant than the central mottled petal.
The background is a soft, out-of-focus green. The focus is primarily on the detailed textures of the iris petals, soft and dreamy.
Snowfall in Summer

Photograph of four white pom-pom like Allium flowers on top of thick green stalks. There is a green tinge to the bottom of the immature flower heads. The flowers are against a black background, which enhances the bright white fluffy appearance of the mature flower head. The spheres of flowers are composed of hundreds of individual tiny star shaped blooms.
Leading Lines

Photograph in high contrast black and white of the historic stone gateway to Norwich Cathedral, with intricate carvings and a statue set into the upper facade. The foreground features a wide path of alternating light and dark rectangular bricks, forming strong converging lines that lead directly through the arch to a large Gothic-style church window in the background. The stone walls on either side of the arch are textured with flint and brick, and bare shrubs frame the lower edges of the scene.
Rootless Serenity

Photograph of a spiky silver-green air plant spreading like a living star against a deep black background, every strand dusted with fine white hairs. It looks both soft and inviting, and possibly spiny, at the same time.
